Josh Bruce, AICP, LEED AP, Project Director, Oregon Partnership for Disaster Resilience The community is invited to learn more about food security in Lane County . The subject of food security encompasses many issues and this will be the first in a series of town hall meetings on this subject.
On December 2nd, Dan Armstrong will give an overview of food security; Karen Edmonds will present figures on hunger and food access in Lane County; Tom Lively will discuss food safety issues (both biological, i.e. salmonella, and pesticides); and Josh Bruce will discuss Lane County’s disaster preparedness and the role of food security in an emergency situation. The floor will then be opened up to the public for questions and comments.
